Connecticut State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they try to locate a man involved in a hit-and-run crash outside an area courthouse.

An alert has been issued for Jose Antonio Lopez, 42, who is wanted for questioning by State Police following a crash outside the Manchester Courthouse on Monday, March 2 that left two judicial marshals with injuries.

Police said that at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Lopez was chased into the parking lot following an incident at the courthouse and he struck them both with a white vehicle in an attempt to flee.

Lopez had been in court to respond to a larceny charge from late last year.

According to police, Lopez was driving a white vehicle with a white spoiler, possibly with Massachusetts license plates. The vehicle may now have front-end damage due to the incident.

Anyone with information regarding Lopez’s whereabouts has been asked to contact Connecticut State Police Troop H by calling (860) 534-1000.
